When you start doing something new it’s both exciting and terrifying at the same time. A new world is reviled to you, and you absorb everything, every feeling, every sound and every new bit of information.
This was how it felt for me when I started blogging two weeks ago, and it continued when I made my own website williamcharlesblackwell.net a few days ago. Before I started I thought that I had everything under control, and that it would go smoothly, but it has been an uphill battle, not in a bad way, but in a challenging and good way.
I think it’s the same way with other things too, you can think you have everything under control when you start, but when you actually stand there you have no idea what you are supposed to do, and you just have to take a leap.
Don’t be afraid to do new things. You have to be willing to fail to succeed. No one are able to do something perfect the first time. Thomas Edison tried almost 10 000 times before he managed to make the light bulb, and he isn’t remembered for all the times he failed, but he’s remembered for succeeding.
